Aluminum Bread Tin w/ Hinged Lid

Period small aluminum bread or sandwich container with a hinged lid. It is correct for WWII and may even be original, it is difficult to date. Bread tins like this were an important part of everyday life in Germany and many made it to the front (I frequently see ground diggers finding them in Russia). A name Kathe Schul* is scratched into the lid. Perfect to take in the field; it just needs cleaned before use. It measures about 16 cm X 9.5 cm X just under 5 cm.

Weight with packaging: 0.1 kg  (Make the most of DHL shipping, learn more here.)
