German Single Latch Briefcase Repaired As-Is

Period German briefcase in repaired usable condition. The handle has been reattached with nuts and bolts when the stitching failed and a few stitches have been touched up with newer thread. The main latch also doesn't stay closed very well; it feels like the spring is broken inside, so there is no tension to keep it latched. The leather is nice and the two button closures work. This style of briefcase (center clasp with 2 snaps) was also common in the early 1900's and continued to be made even after the war. I do think that this one is probably war time or earlier. It is usable as-is but if you put too much weight in it, the snaps will probably keep popping open. Could be repaired with a little time and would make a great briefcase. It measures about 40 cm X 30 cm
