Haeberlein Lebkuchen Export Tin
is on back order
This Lebkuchen tin looks to be pre-war, it has English and french on it so it was made for export. On the side it says "Reg. Penna. Dept. Agr. HN" which does actually refer to the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture which set a standard for backed goods in 1933. This mark frequently appears on foreign brands. Very interesting piece. Either it is early post war (but why would it still be in Germany if it was produced for export) or 1930's (produced for export but something came up and it stayed in Germany). The tin is in good condition with nice graphics. Even the inside would clean up nicely.
