Pre-war Brown Leather Briefcase

This is one of the more popular styles of briefcase and it was fairly common before the war. It seems to have been slowly replaced by more modern bulky designs starting in the mid 1930's and isn't really seen much after the war. It has a center catch flanked but two bicycle tool box style loop closures. It is a simple and elegant design. It is in very good condition with minor wear and a bit of rust on the metal closures. It measures a little over 40 cm by 28 cm tall (not including the handle).
